Regular quiet time with God and in His Word is a must for all Christians.

Not only does it provide a spiritual recharge that will give you what you need to get through each day, but it is also the best way to grow your faith and your relationship with God. With quiet time with God you can expect to gain: Understanding of His Word, Daily Direction and Guidance and Awareness of Him and His presence in your life.
You want that, don you?
I got you ! I am going to help you get started. All you have to do is grab a pen, some paper, and jot down the answers to these 3 questions!
#1 - Where are you going to have your quiet time with God?
Pick a place that you can go where you won’t be bothered or an are where you won’t be disturbed. It can be an office. It can be a kitchen table. For me, I chose a corner in my bedroom. Wherever you go, make sure to make it nice and a place you WANT to go.
#2 - When are you going to have your quiet time with God? How long are you going to have your quiet time?
Mornings are a great option. This will allow you to gain what you need to make through the day. But this is really up to you. If you are more focused and/or have the time at night, go for that time frame. If a morning person, AM it is. The most important thing is picking a time when you have the most uninterrupted or hurried time. If this doesn’t exist, you will have to create it. Get up earlier than others if necessary. Or push back that bed time. Make the sacrifice for the best time!
"The amount of time we spend with Jesus, meditating on His Word and His majesty, seeking His face, establishes our fruitfulness in the kingdom." – Charles Stanley
#2 - How long will your quiet time be?
“20 minutes with God everyday for the rest of your life.” That’s what women’s minister Debbie Stuart would say whenever you taught women’s bible study at my church.
“20 minutes a day is doable.” I thought. But what actually worked, is when I split the time. 10 minutes in the morning, and 10 at night. First ten minutes when I woke up, I wanted to spend with God, and the last 10 minutes I wanted to spend with God.
Think of a time that is actually doable for you. If it's 5 minutes, go for 5. Think you can do 15? Go for it. Choose a time that you are willing and able to stick to for the next couple of days. Quality over Quantity. You can always increase it later. First, let’s focus on getting starting and building a habit
Here's a tip: An Alarm clock is your friend in this step.
You may need to set an alarm to remind you that it is time for your quiet time.
Use your timer during your quiet time. That way you won’t go past your allotted time. And you won’t go UNDER.
#4 - WHAT are you going to do?
Have your plan already mapped out. Bible study, prayer, mediation, devotional, praise and worship, how will you spend your time.
That way you are not spending part of your time, searching for something to read or trying to figure out what you want to do.
Here's a Tip: New to this? I suggest grabbing a short 7 day devotional from YOU VERSION. Find a topic that you are struggling with and start there. If you are spending time studying an issues you need help with, you will look forward to your quiet time each day.
